Steering wheel: Can I animate the steering wheel at the same time as I drive the car?
Yes, you can. In Craft Director Studio version 9.1 and up a dummy for the steering wheel is included in Craft 4-Wheeler Extended. If you want to create a steering wheel manually, you can use the old workaround:
Use Craft DirectInputLink and follow these simple steps:
- Align the RelativeCageMesh to the steering wheel.
- Parent the RelativeCageMesh to the CarBodyMesh and link the steering wheel to the ActuatorMesh.
- Connect the same input device to Craft DirectInputLink’s ‘roll’ as you use for the steering wheel in Craft Car.
