Craft Airplane Extended can animate any fixed-wing aircraft with physical excellence. The flight behavior of your particular model can be simulated inside of 3ds Max and Maya, and the entire flight is recorded in keyframes in real time.

Why?
Because faking it is too expensive and time consuming. It also doesn't look very good.
